JEW SAVED FROM NAZIS NOW HELPS CHRISTIANS FLEE ISIS TO REPAY ‘DEBT’

SOME LOVELY GOOD NEWS!

A 95-year-old Jewish publisher saved from Nazi-occupied Austria as a child is now funding the flight of Syrian Christians who are seeking refuge from ISIS.

It's important to have good news as the media bombard us with 'don't know how to handle it' stuff? What satisfaction Lord Weidenfeld must have helping struggling people running for their lives just as he had to do. I wish I could help but I haven't resources or money - but I can pray and thank you Lord Weidenfeld that you are an answer to prayer!

This is me at Costa's!

They say queuing is a Brit's thing! I do it at Costa's 'cos I know I'll get the coffee I like - so I'll stand there, anticipating the pleasure that awaits me. Coffee it seems gives me the ability to re-organise my life (at least on paper)!

Perhaps there is another way to queue!

This photograph, known as the ‘Shoe Queue’ was taken in Thailand. The customers use their shoes to indicate their position in the line while the staff are at lunch.

Oh my!.....Now this is queuing!

Must be British dogs!

I am – (seriously!) - wanting to re-organise my time - Yes, declutter my TIME!

So I’m reading Greg McKeown’s book
‘Essentialism’
- The Disciplined Pursuit of Less –
how to get rid of the stuff that fills your life

and gets you nowhere!

A few excerpts:

"Do setbacks often only strengthen our resolve to work longer and harder? Do we sometimes respond to every challenge with "Yes, I can take this on as well"?"

"Is there a point at which doing more does not produce more? Is there a point at which doing less (but thinking more) will actually produce better outcomes?"

"I knew what really counted was the relationship between time and results."

"Working hard is important. But more effort does not necessarily yield more results. "Less but better" does."

I've only read a bit of the book but I am already challenged, and looking forward to doing
"less but better"!

IN VIEW OF THIS SHOULD I BE ON FACEBOOK?

I thought going on Facebook would be some fun but I wasn't prepared for the bombardment of people wanting to be my friend. People I didn't know, people I knew a lifetime ago, friends now, friends then. Flattered I was 'cos so many people responded, but I am a newbie who doesn't know what to do and didn't realise how much time it would take!............So, if I haven't come back to you yet, apologies, I will!

What are people feeling about today’s world? Scared, angry, maybe feel like giving up ‘cos what can we do about the refugees, the boat people, the Calais situation, the bombs and the shootings!

The Bible says "Don’t be bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies. There’s nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life – body and soul – in His hands."

(Matthew 10.28 The Message)
God is concerned about you and wants to be involved in your life now!
Don't know how? Ask me!
