THE MISSING PEAKS OF TOBLERONE!

http://whatstrending.com/news/23279-toblerones-change-shape-reduced-chocolate
They're... not happy! Who? Well..........!

While America is raging about Mr Trump, Britain is concerned about chocolate. Yes... this is serious - Toblerone loses some 'peaks'!

However.......as it is also 'trending' to become more healthy, maybe we could show we don't care by going for 85-90% dark chocolate!

Dark chocolate once considered a rare treat is now considered the acceptable snack for wannabe healthy eaters! How nice is that? Enjoy and.......

SO WHAT'S TRENDING AS A HEALTHY DIET?

I watched Michael Mosley recently on TV talking about diabetes and losing weight - pretty horrible but it convinced me, and a lot of other people, that we ought to give up cakes - well not just cakes but sugar and denatured food like white flour!

Even better, go on the 800 calories a day Blood Sugar Diet for 8 weeks. Low carb and Mediterranean - healthy and possible. I've got the book his wife Dr Claire Bailey has written which makes it easier 'cos together they've worked out a plan and provided the recipes. So now to begin........!!!

Oh! - and get help with calorie counting at 'my fitness pal' on your computer.

Even if you don't manage this, then go for a Mediterranean diet 'cos everyone says it's healthiest!

Eat a rainbow every day!

Eat a Rainbow rap CHSAEataRainbow

Just as God made a rainbow in the sky to remind us He would not flood the world again, so He also gave us a rainbow of fruit, vegetables and herbs to build up our immune system to help us fight diseases. See this next exert:

God’s Healing Rainbow

In this article Michael Irwin says: “It’s amazing to me how God fashioned the rainbow out of the light of the sun and the water of the sky to create such beauty. Similarly, all plant life needs water and light for life. Is it possible, too, that God gave us healing promises in the rainbow of colourful fruits and vegetables that come from the earth?

Just as there are seven colours of the rainbow, there are seven days of the week. You could incorporate into your diet a selection from each colour for each day of the week.

BUT.....No matter what your strategy is for eating a variety of colourful fruits and vegetables, we can be sure that God’s gift of health is certain through His rainbow garden.

We've had another successful meeting, cooked a great meal, and enjoyed getting to know each other even better.
We made 3 pizzas - a quick scone-based wholemeal, a low-carb cauliflower, and spinach & cream cheese stuffed Portabella mushooms.
We also made Madhur Jeffrey Indian cabbage & pea curry, a Spanish green salad and bubble & squeak.
For 'pudding' we had a sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free Surprise Chocolate Cake using red kidney beans (like the Japanese do!) - it was wonderful!

Next month - on 8th December - we'll have a special Christmas menu -

Crank's Nut Roast, The Ultimate Lentil Loaf, Red Onion Gravy, Mixed Roast Veg & Sprouts and Chestnuts - and to follow:

WELL... aren't we blessed to have so much? In the war-torn parts of the world there are parents who have thirsty and sick children with no resources to give them.
But I'm proud of our town 'cos we are taking in and helping two Syrian families. It won't please everyone but Jesus did say in the Bible (Matthew 25: v 35-40)
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Let's be positive like this student.

For the past three years a kind-hearted student from City College Norwich has been sending uplifting messages, handwritten on postcards, to strangers who are going through difficult times. The college student, who wishes to remain anonymous, sends touching handwritten letters so that staff can pass them directly on to individuals for whom the words of comfort and hope might bring a much-needed smile.
