OH DEAR, NOT TTIP AGAIN!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36185746

What is TTIP? And why worry about it?  https://www.foe.co.uk/page/what-ttip-why-worry-about-it

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a secretive agreement being negotiated by the EU and United States right now. BBC World News said:
"Farmers will see their income fall by 0.5 per cent
EU's food and environmental safety standards  lowered to US

Therefore more factory farming to harm the environment and the livelihoods of farmers in the UK and Europe
What about the animals themselves? The US has far fewer regulations on farm animal welfare than the EU does
You don’t have to be an animal lover to see that a deal which brings Europe down to this level is bad."
Apart from how cruel this is for the animals, the food they become is poor quality for us to eat! (To see the other problems of TTIP look at the links above and my blog 31.10.15).

With our attention caught up with the 'in/out' of Europe referendum, maybe this is a good opportunity for the government to get on with this secret treaty that we wouldn't like if we fully knew what they are agreeing to.

Can Brexit use this I wonder!!!!?

Signing away our soul
What Europhiles don’t want us to know?

The EU Referendum looms ever closer, with increasingly horrific prognoses and predictions, ranging from recession (mild) to world war (catastrophic).  Now Boris Johnson has further stirred the water by comparing the EU’s aims to those of Hitler, claiming a similar plan to unify Europe under a single authority.  Remainians say the comparison is offensive and desperate, but is Boris right?

It would appear that the answer to that, given a recent report which notably has not been brought to the attention of the general pubic, may be yes.

On 22 June 2015, the European Union issued a press release on behalf of European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the Euro Summit, Donald Tusk, the President of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the President of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, and the President of the European Parliament,
Martin Schulz  (http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-15-5240_en.htm).  It announced an ambitious plan on the part of the 5 Presidents to deepen economic monetary union within the EU, resulting by 2025 in a total sharing of sovereignty by member states.  To put it another way, it lays out a ground plan for political union, whereby the need for collective decision-making will necessarily involve the surrender of national autonomy....

SO WHAT ELSE HAVE I GOT MYSELF INVOLVED IN?

I've followed this The Truth About Cancer - reports from 131 Doctors, Scientists and Cancer Survivors from 27 countries interviewed by Ty Billinger - fascinating, challenging, thought provoking information! And I found myself tipping my life upside down trying to change all the things that I found 'dangerous' in my lifestyle. Next there was a 'Food Revolution' summit with 24 Food Experts agreeing with most of the cancer summit. Fascinating again and now I know I want to change!

I've made loads of notes and will follow up all these people and see what, simply, I can do. I'm assured the same program will conquer all ailments! The trouble is will I make the changes?

I've begun the green tea, cut out processed food, and joined the gym!! Good start! Oh! and I eat a rainbow every day
(see May 2016 blog).

BUT please don't touch my coffee!

(Hang in there boys, don't let them say you're bad!)

OK, so thinking about bodies and stuff - do we believe someone made us and has our welfare at heart?

In the Bible Genesis Chap 1 verse 29 God tells us what His plan is for our eating and healing and I for one am happy that He knows what's best for me. ' Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.' It actually didn't stay like that and meat was introduced later but plan 'A' seems to be a vegie diet! Regretfully now meat is full of antibiotics and growth hormones, unless you get organic!

They take a mile and wreck the story,
I chase the future 'til I'm tired,
I catch it then it catches fire

GOOD NEWS STORY......................

Heroes Save 4 Year Old Born With a Cleft from Certain Death
http://goodnewsshared.com/2016/05/11/heroes-save-child-born-with-cleft-from-death

"When four-year-old Kodjo from the town of Akwatia in Ghana’s Eastern Region was born with a cleft, neighbours believed he was the child of the river gods who needed to be drowned as a religious sacrifice, per local custom. On the way to his death, a villager saved Kodjo, bringing him to Dr. Solomon Obiri-Yeboah, a local Smile Train partner surgeon, for a free cleft repair surgery. After Kodjo’s father abandoned his family, Dr. Obiri-Yeboah took the boy under his wing— paying for his education and providing ongoing support throughout his lifetime."

So it's planting time in the garden and my favourite sugar snaps are his too. I like the fruit of the plant but this little chap likes his part at the tender leaf stage - guess I won't be getting mine!

TOO LATE!

However it's not too late for our cookery club (now called Healthy Eating Club) which takes place the first Thursday in the month.
At the moment we're talking healthy, economical and easy recipes, mostly plant based, and watching the trends - using vegetables in cakes and making them sugar free.

HUG TIME!

Can I stay here 'til I grow up?
